What we keep
- Video details you look up, for fifteen minutes in memory, so a popular video isn’t read from Eporner again and again. They are stored by video, not by person.
- Your IP address, in memory, to limit how many videos one visitor can read in an hour. That copy is forgotten within the hour.
- The web server’s standard log: the time, your IP address, the page asked for and your browser’s name, for every request. We use it to keep the site running and to count visits, and it is deleted after 15 days.
Downloads
When you press Save, our download server (dl.geteporner.com) fetches the file from Eporner and streams it to you as it arrives. It writes nothing to disk and keeps no log of which file was saved or by whom. While a download runs, it counts the bytes sent so the page can show progress, and forgets that count ten minutes after the download ends. It also holds your IP address in memory while your downloads run, to allow two at a time.
What stays in your browser
The parcels on the page are saved in your browser’s local storage so they survive a reload. They never leave your device; Clear all, or clearing your site data, deletes them.
Who else is involved
Requests to geteporner.com pass through Cloudflare, which protects and speeds up the site and so sees your IP address on the way to our server.
Downloads come from dl.geteporner.com, which does not pass through Cloudflare; Eporner’s servers see our download server’s address, not yours. No cookies, no analytics, no advertising.
